Home United FC comes into the 2010 season with high expectations to challenge SAFFC for S.LEAGUE Trophy.

With five new signings for the 2010 season, the Protectors are tipped to win this year S.LEAGUE Trophy. But it’s still early to predict right now as the Protectors have to make a trip down to the East to face Albirex Niigata(S) @Jurong East stadium to kick start their quest for an silverware this season.

Looking forward into this match, the Protectors will be missing several regulars players through Suspensions and Injurys. Namely: Valery Hiek, Sharil Alias(Suspended) Tengku Mushadad (Foot Injury) & Ismail Yunos (Knee Injury).

On the other side,  Japanese side Albirex Niigata FC are a much changed side this season with only three players left from last year’s squad. For the new set of players, it will take time before they settle in and this presents a good chance for our Protectors to get 3 points in the bag.

Starting XII: Lionel Lewis, Juma’at Jantan, Shariff Abdul Samat, Rosman Sulaiman, Isa Halim, Sharil Ishak, Shi Jiayi, Nelson Marcelo San Martin Arriagada, Choi Chul Woo, Ashrin Sharif.
